Walton-Le-Dale Facilities and Resources
Walton-Le-Dale Arts College & High School is situated in a semi-rural location
on the edge of Bamber Bridge, nr Preston in Lancashire. It serves the town of Bamber Bridge itself but is also easily accessible from Preston, Blackburn and Leyland.
The school is set in large grounds where students are able to enjoy not only good sports facilities, but also relax in pleasant surroundings during their breaks.
Over recent years the school has attracted a large amount of funding to improve our facilities. Our students are able to enjoy:
- Well equipped specialist teaching areas in all subjects, with all teaching rooms having an interactive Whiteboard;
- 4 ICT rooms, a number of laptop trolleys and a large number of additional network computers and other technological resources throughout the school;
- A well-stocked learning resource area and library;
- Five modern Science Labs;
- Modern Design and Technology facilities, including an electronics room and CAD/CAM machines;
- Two high quality Food Technology rooms;
- A Sports Hall and Gymnasium with a wide range of sporting equipment;
- A brand new Dance Studio;
- Two Art rooms with resources for Ceramics and 3D work and computer artwork;
- A large, newly refurbished Arts Theatre;
- New dining facilities with a state of the art kitchen, serving hot food before school, at Break and Lunchtime;
- 2 new Music rooms with practice facilities and a sound recording studio;
- Completely refurbished changing rooms with individual shower facilities;
- A team of well qualified staff.
